Hill Lab for Cancer Biology

Welcome to the Hill Lab

The Hill lab is part of the Department of Medical Oncology and Division of Molecular and Cellular Oncology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

The mission of the Hill Lab is to develop a deep mechanistic understanding of breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancer development and tumor biology which we will harness to make these cancers more manageable diseases for all patients through the development of effective methods of detection, prevention, and treatment.

In pursuit of this mission, the Hill lab focuses on understanding the role of the BRCA1 tumor suppressor and cell cycle checkpoints in basic molecular and cellular biology and in breast, ovarian, and endometrial carcinogenesis and tumor biology.

We utilize molecular/cellular biology and fluorescence microscopy techniques in breast, ovarian, and endometrial cancer cell lines and mouse models.

News and Highlights

Harvard Biological and Biomedical Sciences (BBS) Program Rotation Students are welcome! Email Dr. Hill directly about rotation opportunities ([email protected])

We are looking for a postdoctoral fellow to join the Hill lab!  If interested, please send an email to [email protected] with a cover letter describing your past research, your future goals, and why you would like to join the Hill lab. Please include a CV and contact information for three references who can speak to your scientific achievements.  A strong work ethic and training in molecular and cellular biology are needed. This is a wet bench lab, and work will be onsite 100% of the time. We are looking for postdocs who have published first author papers and are motivated to acquire fellowships to support your work at Harvard & DFCI.
